Create Your Own Battlewagon Bucket

If you’ve ever spent time on a serious Sportfisherman or a “Battlewagon”, you probably noticed that the buckets used on board had their wire handles removed and replaced with a piece of dock line.  There are several reasons for this.  The wire handles rust, they rattle and they can also scratch the big buck paint job or gel coat finishes on the boat.  Some crews like to hang them from the fighting chair for various reasons and the wire handle doesn’t allow this. But the biggest reason that any Mate will tell you is that the rope handle is just more comfortable if you’re lugging buckets full of water, ice, chum and fish all day long.

    Just love the bucket I ordered! It came so quickly as I stated it was for a birthday gift and Fish Razr sent it out to me the same day I ordered it, truly appreciate it. My husband loved the bucket and used it on our boat already :)

    I have owned Battle Buckets for about 4 years now. The local merchant quit carrying them so I was very pleased to find them online and at a reasonable price. I use them for live well bait hauls to/from the boat and as a bait bucket on the pier, collecting crabs, etc. These are great for the heavy lifts that typically leave your hands screaming from the normal plastic/wire handled 5 gallon buckets. Plus as a woman, I enjoy the color choices. I bought all of the men in my family and friends circle these buckets and all of them made additional purchases. Do yourself a favor and try one.
